You want a house that has been well-built using materials that are made to last. Speak to the developer to find out what has been used before looking for yourself at what you think of it.

To avoid this from being a problem, make sure you have a snagging survey where any potential issues will be identified and then can be sorted out before you move in. The last thing you want is to move in and then find out there are lots of issues that can’t get sorted when you’re already in.
